Welcome to GentleHand. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website (https://gentlehand.me) and the custom silicone prosthetic products and services provided by GentleHand Solutions (HK) Limited ("GentleHand", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Product Nature and Medical Disclaimer
GentleHand specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom, hyper-realistic silicone upper limb prosthetics. While our products are crafted using skin-contact medical-grade materials, the information provided on our website is for general informational purposes and does not substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with your healthcare provider or prosthetist regarding your specific rehabilitation needs.
2. Warranty and Repairs
We stand by the craftsmanship of our prosthetics. We offer a 12-month warranty strictly covering the internal structure (socket and frame) of the prosthesis.
Internal Damage: Any internal damage occurring during normal, intended use within this 12-month period will be repaired free of charge.
External Wear: The outer silicone surface, akin to any material in constant contact with the environment and human skin, will exhibit natural wear and tear over years of daily use. Replacement or refurbishment of the outer silicone is considered a standard paid service. Please contact our team for a specific quotation based on your case.
3. Fit Adjustments and Resizing
We understand that human bodies naturally change over time due to weight fluctuation or other factors. We actively plan for this in our service model:
Within the first 18 months of delivery: We will resize the socket to accommodate your new measurements at no additional service charge. The client is only responsible for covering the round-trip shipping costs.
After 18 months: Resizing services remain fully available. The client will be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs plus a standard resizing service fee.
4. Material Compatibility and Refunds
GentleHand products utilize silicone selected and tested specifically for skin-contact medical use, known for being soft, breathable, and highly skin-compatible. Historical data indicates that fewer than 1% of users experience any form of allergic reaction.
In the rare event that you experience a verified allergic reaction to our silicone material:
You must contact our support team immediately and provide appropriate medical documentation of the reaction.
Upon verification of the documentation, GentleHand will issue a full refund for the product. We are committed to a friction-free resolution for your health and safety.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, video showcases, and product designs, is the property of GentleHand Solutions (HK) Limited and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GentleHand Solutions (HK) Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, personal injury or property damage, arising from your use of our products outside of their intended cosmetic and light-assistive purposes.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
